Mikhail is a Robot

Computers can't cheat. That's what makes being human so distinctly wonderful.
After my last WAM article I thought about Mikhail. He has evaded death on several counts. He seems to be invincible. With all this talk of futuristic material being used on the island I thought, Mikhail could be futuristic material. That is to say that he is a robot of sorts and that is why he doesn't die.
In Enter 77 , while Locke is trying to defeat the computer chess game Mikhail comes in and says to him:
Mikhail: Eh, don't waste your time. For 10 years I've tried to defeat that game, but it was programmed by three grand masters and it cheats.

Locke: Well, I've played a lot of computer games and I'm pretty sure they don't know how to cheat. That's what makes being human so distinctly wonderful.
That is what got me thinking, was this some sort of clue? Reason being, for the next several episodes Mikhail cheated death. Does this mean he is some type of computer program?
Or should we go with Locke in saying that computers don't know how to cheat?
Thanks for Reading.
Namaste and Good Luck!

Wouldn't a robot rust when he swam to The Looking Glass or in all the Island rain? JK.

Robot is as good an explanation as any. That could explain the papers in the Flame that seemed to be some sort of a cover story that Mikhail was supposed to tell. Also the Nadia reference just in case Sayid came by. I wonder if Kate had asked about the cat Mikhail would have said the cat's name was Wayne and had a poster of Wayne Newton somewhere else on the walls.

That's a good question CF. If TPTB aren't merely making a random statement about how much they love the human race, it is a rather peculiar thing for Locke to say in the middle of the discovery of a new station to blow up.

They seem to be making some kind of statement about cheating, but I'm not sure what it is yet.

Maybe Patchy is some kind of a hybrid super-soldier like in the X-Files? Dharma wouldn't have that kind of tech, but later Widmore, Paik, and Mittlejerk might.

I think there are multiple Mikhail's running around due to multiverses converging

Memphish-Yeah that was the only downfall to the theory. Maybe they waterproofed him. =] I like the idea that the name "Nadia" was just a cover along with the papers.

Capcom-Mittlejerk...MITTLEJERK! HAHAHAHA
Sorry that caught me off guard. Yeah, I think that is what he would be. A waterproofed, hybrid-supersoldier robot. =]]] lol
come back dear X-Files...

Synchro-that is the other possibility. If not that, it would have to be by "T.V. Magic" that he survived.

COME BACK LOST! Do you all reailize we have to wait until FEBRUARY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!! ERGGG!!
